Key Responsibilities:
- Machine Setup and Operation:
- Set up CNC machines (such as mills, lathes, and routers) based on provided blueprints, drawings, or instructions.
- Load raw materials into machines and ensure proper alignment.
- Operate CNC machines, adjusting settings to ensure proper cutting, drilling, or machining operations.
- Programming and Adjustments:
- Input and adjust CNC machine programs to ensure correct operation and high-quality output.
- Edit and optimize machine programs when necessary to improve efficiency or quality.
- Quality Control:
- Perform routine inspections of finished parts using measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges) to ensure they meet the required specifications.
- Maintain part quality by troubleshooting issues with machine performance and part defects.
- Maintain accurate records of inspections, production rates, and any issues or adjustments.
- Maintenance and Troubleshooting:
- Perform regular maintenance tasks to keep the machines in optimal working condition.
- Troubleshoot issues with machines, tooling, or parts during production runs and make necessary repairs or adjustments.
- Safety and Compliance:
- Follow safety protocols, including wearing protective equipment and adhering to machine operation standards.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace.
- Ensure compliance with company and industry regulations regarding machine operations and safety.
- Collaboration and Reporting:
- Work closely with engineers, machinists, and production managers to meet production goals and deadlines.
- Report any issues related to production or machine malfunction to supervisors or maintenance personnel.
- Other duties as assigned by supervisor
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent. Technical certification or training in CNC operations is preferred.
- Experience: Previous experience operating CNC machinery is highly desirable.
